The 7th ECEM (European Conference on Ecological Modelling), ECEM2011 will be held in Riva del Garda, Italy, from 30 May to 2 June 2011. ECEM conferences are organized in about every 2 years, on behalf of the International Society of Ecological Modelling. The first conference in the series was held in Pula, Croatia, in 1997.
The key theme is „Ecological hierarchy from the genes to the biosphere”, however posters and talks are welcome in all fields of ecological modelling.
A selection of peer-reviewed conference papers will be published in a special issue of Ecological Modelling.
Depending on available funds, some support to mostly students will be available.
All information regarding registration, call for organized sessions, abstract submission and others will be circulated in early October 2010. However, the organisers really appreciate if you show your preliminary interest by just sending an e-mail with subject „preregistration” to
ECEM2011@cosbi.eu.
Confirmed keynote speakers include: Michel Loreau (Canada), Nils Stenseth (Norway), James Elser (USA) and Tarzan Legovic (Croatia).
Hope to see you at the Garda Lake!
