The Africa Centre for Climate and
Earth Systems Science (ACCESS) will be hosting this annual event on 15 and 16th July 2009 at UCT.
The twin focus this year will be on:
1. three lectures by Prof Michael Bender from Princeton University on: Isotopes based observations to understand the present and paleo carbon, nitrogen and oxygen cycles and linked ecosystem characteristics
2. a seminar discussion on the co-evolution of terrestrial and ocean biodiversity and climate in the present "winter rainfall" zone of the Cape: is the Cape unique.
This will be open to all graduate students and scientists but numbers will be limited so please confirm your participation with Pavs Pillay

Further details on the venue and schedules will be sent to participants on 6th July. ACCESS will provide lunches and teas. Transport and accommodation costs will need to be covered by the participants.
