the first in the
Eastern Cape
(25th June – 4th July) in partnership with Rhodes and Walter Sisulu Universities and
the 2nd in partnership with the
University of the Free State
(6th to the 15th of July).
The workshops aim to introduce 3rd and 4th year (honors) undergraduates to the idea of Earth Systems Science through exploring the reasons why the Earth is Habitable, and with a specific focus on the uniqueness of the southern African region.
We would therefore like to invite applications for these workshops, the details on how to do so are provided in the links above. Students are selected by a competitive selection process and full funding is available to cover the costs of all successful applicants.
We would be very grateful therefore if you could please help us to make this information widely available, either by forwarding the links of the posters to students who may be interested or by printing it and posting it where 3rd and 4th year students are likely to see it.
Closing date for applications: 30 April 2012
Kind Regards,
Dr Carl Palmer
