The ICSU Regional Office for Africa (ICSU ROA), in collaboration with the National Research Foundation (NRF) and its partners is organizing an international workshop of experts on Global Environmental Change (including Climate Change and Adaptation) in sub-Saharan Africa. The workshop will be held in Pretoria, South Africa, on 9 - 11 February 2009. Attached here is a

for your participation in the workshop as well as the soft copy of the
ICSU ROA Science plan
on Global Environmental Change (including Climate Change and Adaptation) in sub-Saharan Africa.
We would also like to remind you that this fourth Science plan is scientifically related with the other three published Science Plans of ICSU ROA and their concomitant projects (Sustainable Energy; Natural and Human induced Hazards & Disasters and Health & Human Well-being;)
