Marine Week 2000
The Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEA&T) celebrated the theme
"Our Coast For Life"
during National Marine Week 2000 (16-20 October).These celebrations were dedicated to raise awareness of the significant social and economic opportunities a healthy coastal environment offers all South Africans. Some of the public-private initiatives that aim to unlock and sustain this potential were showcased.
