As part of the IAPSO / SCOR DOES Workshop (https://www.confmanager.com/main.cfm?cid=1293) which is taking place in Cape Town between the 6-9th of October (next week), an open morning workshop has been arranged to discuss research cruise planning requirements and techniques.

The workshop is aimed at anyone who has the responsibility of planning and executing research cruises from an administrative, technical and scientific perspective.

 

The meeting will be chaired by Professor Piers Chapman (Dept of Oceanography, Texas A&M University) and participation of other local and international experts will be arranged.

 

The meeting is open to all appropriate delegates to the SCOR workshop and any local personnel and students, but since space is limited we require you to register by emailing Alan Meyer (ameyer@csir.co.za) and applicants will be accepted on a first come first served basis.
