The organising committee would like to invite interested authors to submit their papers to the 6th International Multi-Purpose Reef Conference (IMPR 2009), incorporating the International Surfing Reef Conference, scheduled for 19-21 May 2009 to be held in Jeffrey's Bay, South Africa.
Conference objectives:
Provide a platform for experts in the fields of coastal engineering, oceanography, geology, geography, marine biology, coastal management, planning and water sport enthusiasts:
* To report on and share experience in the design, planning, economics construction and monitoring of multi-purpose reefs and submerged structures for coastal protection and amenity enhancement.
* To incorporate related and relevant research, such as advances in the fields of surfing science, preservation and destruction of natural reefs, biology of natural reefs, new surfing reefs and surfing pools.
* To identify future research priorities and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration
