All are welcome to attend! - The Short Course segment (first half of the week) is an opportunity to receive introductory lectures in coastal engineering from 3 eminent internationally renowned specialists. The University is highly honoured to announce that Emeritus Professor Bill Kamphuis (Queens University, Canada), Assoc. Professor Ron Cox (University of New South Wales, Australia) and Assoc. Professor Henk-Jan Verhagen (Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands) will undertake the lecturing sessions. The Seminar segment (second half of the week) includes an excursion and presentations of practical case studies from invited local and international specialists, authorities, consultants and contractors in this field.
An excellent opportunity to interact with authorities, practicing professionals and lecturers, peers and students in coastal engineering. Special focus will be placed on the challenges of climate change impacts for future design and management relating to beaches, ports, estuaries, coastal developments and coastal protection structures.
