The Marine and Coastal Educators' Network (MCEN) is a co-ordinating group of SANCOR. The network functions as the coordinating body for marine education in South Africa. MCEN aims to assist marine educators in their activities, facilitate collaboration between educators, to help co-ordinate national marine education initiatives and to identify future opportunities for marine education in South Africa. This national group is organised according to coastal regions. These regional groups organise conferences and other events (both formal and informal).
