Presented by The International Ocean Institute - Southern Africa on behalf of the NRF and SANCOR
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
The NRF and SANCOR have recognized a decline in the breadth and relevance of proposals and projects related to marine pollution research in South Africa. In order to stimulate discussion aimed at re-focusing new and ongoing research in this field this workshop is designed to include all stakeholders that target or benefit from NRF-funded marine pollution research, especially within SANCOR's SEAChange Programme (Society, Ecosystems and Change research in the marine and coastal environment).
The main aims of workshop are to:
• Obtain an overview of the issues at hand
• Brainstorm possible research questions, research problems etc.
• Provide some framework for ongoing research co-ordination
The outcomes of this workshop will serve to inform the 2011 SEAChange call for funding in order to help broaden and strengthen new proposals.
Limited funding is available to assist with travelling and accommodation. Applicants who require sponsorship will need to provide the organizers with a motivational paragraph justifying their attendance. Space for participants is also limited, so please complete and submit the form below to indicate your interest in attending as early as possible.
