SOUTH AFRICA / ANGOLA JOINT SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH AGREEMENT
 
The National Research Foundation and the Department of Science and Technology invite researchers to present papers to this conference.
 
 
Objectives
Researchers are requested to display the results of research and to share knowledge on terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems as well as on heritage and sites of geological, archaeological and anthropological importance, indigenous knowledge system and computing, information and space technology applied to teaching, research and technological development.
Outputs
Contribution to the materialization of the Science, Technology and Innovation National Policy;
Contribution of science to the management of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems and description of geological and archaeological sites;
Contribution to the systematization and development of indigenous knowledge;
Subsidies for the application of computing and information and space technology in teaching and scientific research and technological development;
Dissemination of the results of research in order to increase the scientific and technological production
 
Areas of interest
The abstracts may be in any of the following fields, and not exceed 250 words:
a) Biosciences (Life Sciences);
b) Space Science (including remote sensing);
c) Indigenous Knowledge System
d) Environment and Climate Change (including Oceanography)
e) Energy (including nuclear);
f) Material Sciences Research (including Nano-technology)
g) ICT
h) Paleosciences
i) Geosciences
 
Who may apply?
This call for abstracts is aimed at full time researchers residing in South Africa and affiliated with a recognised higher education or research institution such as a University, University of Technology or Science Council. No applications from commercial institutions will be accommodated.
 
How do I apply?
The application form on http://www.nrf.ac.za/funding_overview.php?fid=103 must be filled in as per instructions and should be accompanied by the researcher’s comprehensive CV.
